The NJ Department of Personnel (NJ DOP) provides and administers entrance and promotional examinations for the Township of Hillside. Entrance and promotional announcements can be found at http://www.state.nj.us/personnel .

We are currently waiting for the test results for our firefighter entrance exam.  The NJ DOP anticipates an October/November 2007 announcement date.          

A captain’s promotional exam is scheduled for December 2007 or January 2008.

We have applied for a Deputy Chief’s promotional exam.  The scheduled date is too announced.

It is the Fire Department’s policy to try to maintain current NJ DOP lists.
